Sacrilege - Bourbon Barrel Brandy
In France, there is some winemaker who doesn't understand why Americans would do something so sacriligious as putting beautiful Brandy from a wine country as renowned as the Napa Valley, in a used Bourbon Barrel.
But, that's almost exactly why we did it. We wanted something that gave you the Bourbon Barrel flavors, the feel of a beautifully aged bourbon, from a Brandy. This goes back to when we first started and were only able to sell Brandy products. We were making our "Not Vodka" Neutral Brandy, and our Ginn with the extra "N", but still we got asked about our Whiskey every day. So, we wanted something that would be an educational tool to try and educate our guest about why the taste and feel of Whiskey, might be more about the barrel than the base spirit they actually thought of.
So 18 months later, the Sacrilege was born. Today we use our S.o.B. Bourbon Barrels to age the Brandy, giving it the caramel and stone fruit notes, while maintining some of the light fruity taste and feel of the brandy. Don't be afraid to use this in place of your whiskey, or your brandy with your cocktails, or just drink it straight and enjoy!
