Tippleman's - Barrel Aged Cola Syrup
Not Quite Simple Syrups
A Fresh Citrus and Spice Cola Aged in Once Used Bourbon Barrels
Tipplemans's creates this uniquely all natural syrup by hand peeling lemons, limes and oranges, and combining the skins with freshly ground spices, natural cane sugar and vanilla bean. As it ages in Willett bourbon barrels, familiar flavors of original American cola come together, and the syrup takes on notes of vanilla and whiskey from the charred barrels.
2 oz NVD SOB Bourbon
1/2 oz Tippleman’s Barrel Aged Cola Syrup
2 dashes Aromatic Bitters
Stir ingredients with ice and strain into an iced double old fashioned glass. Garnish with an lemon peel.
2 oz Gin
1 oz Tippleman’s Barrel Aged Cola Syrup
3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Egg White (optional)
Combine lemon juice, Barrel Aged Cola Syrup, gin and egg white, and shake vigorously with ice for about 20 seconds (as long as it takes to sing Happy Birthday to yourself twice). Strain into a collins glass, and top with soda water and a lemon twist.
