Japanese Cocktail
It is the unique background and history that gave this cocktail its' name. During the 1860's the first Japanese delegation were touring the US. One of the translators for the group had a love of life and spirits like no one else, and was known to frequent Jerry Thomas's Palace Bar on Broadway. Here he would sip on this luscious libation made just for him, while flirting the night away!
This recipe was loosely based off an Old Fashioned, but modified to the said translator's liking. Brandy/Cognac as the base, Orgeat to bring in nutty sweetness and a bit of Bokers bitters to add a hint of chocolate and coffee.
The result is an all too tasty treat that you won't be able to resist!
