Lime Flavored Neutral Brandy
Our creativity is guided by two simple questions: Why and Why not? Why do the same as others? Why not make it different? This was the idea for our newest line of NVD products, Table Spirits. Table Spirits are intended to be enjoyed with a meal and to enhance the dining experience. Savor them neat, chilled, or on the rocks. Think of them as another ingredient in the dish, just served on the side. The second in this new line will be our Lime Flavored Neutral Brandy, with many other unique flavors to come!
Although we do not know for certain where they originated, wild limes are believed to have first grown in Indonesia or Southeast Asia, and then were brought to the Mediterranean region and North Africa. It was during the 19th century that British Sailors were given a daily allowance of citrus (mostly lemons and limes) to help ward of scurvy and help them withstand the long months at sea. That is how British sailors acquired the nickname "Limey!"
This Lime Flavored Brandy should evoke the crisp and invigorating citrus notes. We encourage you to experiment with this product anywhere you would use limes (think Mint Julep, Lime Mojito, or Lime Rickey), or lean more heavily to the traditional side (like a Lime Gimlet or a Cosmopolitan).
Cocktails today are dominated by fruity and sweet flavors that we often forget about the amazing savory and citrus flavors that are available to us, but these citrusy notes can pair beautifully with the sweet and fruity characters we all know and love bringing balance! Go forth and experiment!
