Masters of Malt - Cask Aged Whiskey Bitters
These were aged in a fresh Kentucky oak casks, and the results are spicy and full-bodied cocktail bitters which work well in all manner of concoctions, especially those based on whisky (or whiskey!). To our knowledge these are the highest proof, most costly to make and most expensive bitters that money can buy, and they don't taste half bad in a manhattan!
The ingredients for these bitters include herbs, spices and fruits, such as vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and two kinds of orange peel.
Nose Very spicy, peppery nose with hints of orange zest and allspice. A touch of clove oil and cardamom. Creamy sweetness from the vanilla.
Palate Dried fruit, herbs, cloves, liquorice and aniseed. Pipe tobacco, cardamom, a touch of cinnamon.
Finish Christmas spices. Peppery and slightly fruity on the tail.
